This catalogue accompanies the 2007 exhibition Weather Report: Art and Climate Change, curated by Lucy R. Lippard. This exhibition addresses the interactions between art, activism, and science, from the lense of climate change and global warming. Fifty-one artists were invited to create pieces for this work, and were given access to scientists who worked in the fields they wished to address through their art. Further, the curator wanted to ensure that the show was beautiful, accessible, and alarming, but not alarmist.
Detailed in this first edition catalogue are all of the pieces created for this project and descriptions of how the work calls attention to an aspect of climate change and/ or global warming.
